Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer who is known for his unique mixture of soul gospel, R&B and R&B. Sunshine has appeared on Broadway, in the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Sunshine is a name that she has given her is Denise White. Even though she lives in Atlanta currently, she is born in Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she first began her journey as a musician by singing and playing in the local church. She was a student at Spellman College and began to master the R&B styles of Atlanta. The Fighting Temptations The single that featured her vocals, Stalk You the House, was only released in Japan. The song has been remixed several times, and it is a mainstay of her live show. The Fighting Temptations was the second soundtrack that she sang on. In 2005, Tyler Perry hired her as the principal keyboardist on his stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 to serve as Choral Director of Dreamgirls, the theatre production in Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was recognized nationally during her four daily performances at the Democratic National Convention. She was invited to perform at President Barack Obama's 2009 inauguration.
