Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and former Institute of Culinary Education instructor She is also a television personality. Anne W. Burrell is host on Secrets of a Restaurant Chef for the Food Network, as well as co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host who has spiky blond hair and an ebullient personality, explains how to cook restaurant-style dishes at home, using easy methods. Chef Burrell has also worked at some of the top eateries located in New York, studied the cuisine and culture of Italy and competed on Food Network's Iron Chef America. When she was a kid in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was attracted by the food. After obtaining an English and Communications degree at Canisius College in Buffalo NY she was able to pursue her love of the industry of restaurants by registering as a student at The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America has been a great experience. Culinary Institute of America was a fantastic location to learn. Following graduation, Chef Burrell went on to spend one time in Italy studying at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one Michelin-starred restaurant located in Tuscany. Burrell gained a greater appreciation of Italian culinary and cultural traditions while in Italy that has informed her cooking style. Burrell served as a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to improve children's lives who are facing challenges. Additionally, she is a Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador where she advocates for education about juvenile diabetes. Burrell speaks on her culinary passion, and also shares her expertise in the culinary world as she frequently travels throughout the US in the roles of mentors and speakers. Through her culinary adventures, Anne has often said that I am so lucky to be able to share my true passion for life with people.
